As seen during our Social Distancing exercise today . OK, it was pretty close to a normal day, just with no playgrounds and lots of hand wringing (and hand sa nitizer).
This was in a high school parking lot. The signs are meant to be separated, but these two were together for left-to-right c omedic effect. Well played, teenagers. And impeccable timing!

“Social distancing exercise”
Or, as I call it, living in Washington state my entire life! Thank you, thank you. Don’t tip the waitress, your money has germs.
Also, do you mean to say you met with a group of people to talk about avoiding groups of people?

Yelled across a sizable distance at a number of distinctly separate groups of people while staying too far away to commit to any of the social niceties being exchanged.

Social distancing day? Just saying “play Xbox today” would be a whole lot more effective, don’t you think?
Reminds me of this

The people who planned that are probably the same people who think this is a good idea.

I literally played Rallisport Challenge 2 on the Original Xbox with my son today. For a 15-year-old game it still holds up great.

Burnout 3 Takedown is still my jam. That game is no less entertaining today than when it came out.
I’ve never heard of Rallisport, but it looks surprisingly modern from my brief google search.

Full of the sound of the Gran Fury, signifying nothing.

I have tons of good memories of playing Colin McRae Rally 2.0. That one is now 20 years old. I fire it up whenever I stumble across it.
My favorite old game, M.U.L.E. is now 37 (!) years old. That’s another one I’ll fire up on occasion, although these days it’s strictly in emulation. I think I still have the original packaging and 5.25" disc.
It doesn’t matter how old a game is - when it’s right, it’s right...

I bought McRae 2005 (part 3?) last year for $5 used. The original Xbox and PS1/PS2 are goldmines for the used game market because they’re easily forgotten.

Rallisport (1) was basically the Xbox’s “launch title” for most of the world, but in the US where people didn’t follow Rally they shifted the focus over to Halo, Call of Duty and Splinter Cell, etc. All great games, but I’m still most amazed by the Rallisport games. The sequel does widescreen (albeit in 480p) but still does beautifully on a modern HDTV.
